Back in February, the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced its intent to enable vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication technology for light vehicles.

Not only does V2V technology have the potential to improve the safety of road travel, but it also has the potential to reduce environmental impacts and slash travel time.
